Our unique concept makes the Tirol Lodge special: The three lodges are right next to the valley station of the Hartkaiser gondola lift and impress with their modern design. Straight lines and clear shapes are a pleasant contrast to the surrounding mountains. At the bottom of the Hartkaiser we have built a modern village for our guests.

The combination of urban style and alpine feeling indoors and the surrounding nature outdoors give our rooms and suites an airy feeling for all uncomplicated holiday vibes.

Anyone can have a hotel. But no one else has four cosy lodges, lovingly created solely of timber and truly kind to the environment. Our lodge, constructed of larch and spruce, boasts a magnificent natural aroma and one that that most definitely doesn’t come from an air freshener!

We reckon we could have almost watched our hotel grow in the woods. It would have taken the entire Austrian Forests – now hold your breath - a mere 1 hour and 20 minutes to grow the 4,800 m3 of timber used to construct the lodge!  By the way, it also binds around 5000 tons of CO2. You can breathe out again now.

We’re a one-stop shop! Everything you need to make your holiday complete is accessible on foot.

Bright colors and wooden elements create a clear & comfy atmosphere to calm down. Comfortably furnished and without unnecessary frills, the rooms impress with their simple elegance.

The arrangement of the rooms and suites in the three lodges creates an individual feeling of wellbeing. If you want to retreat to privacy, you can relax in your own room. If you are looking for society, you will find it in our stylish bar "Lieblingsplatzl". The Tirol Lodge in Ellmau is the base station for your summer trip or winter vacation.

The Hartkaiser Gondola stops more or less at the front door and whisks you up to the hiking, biking and wintersport hotspots. Regardless of whether you’re with us in winter or in summer, we know that after just one visit, you’ll be back!

Perhaps you’ve not sweated enough during the working week? No problem, our panoramic sauna “Sweat & Chill” will prove to you that it can also be fun! Cool down afterwards in the adjacent relax zone with its stunning views of the Wilder Kaiser Mountains, jump into the heated outdoor swimming pool or just chill in one of our favourite spots, our lobby lounge.
